Salon Perfect “Magnetic Heart” Nail Review

This post is not sponsored, nor is my opinion bought or paid for, so don’t get it twisted.

New nails, new me!

The Salon Perfect press-on nails in the color Magnetic Heart may not attract the love of my life, but they will attract likes on social media.

Likes aren’t everything, especially if our picture perfect moments are less than perfect. I’m going to spill the tea on these nails so that you know whether to ditch or spend.

Product details

With 30 nails, a nail file, a prep pad, and professional nail glue, the metallic pink packaging is ready for Valentine's Day. There are no small, medium, or large labels on the packaging for these press-on nails. However, customers can choose from the standard 0–14 size range included in the package.

Application

A skilled false nail wearer could easily cut a few minutes off my time, but the application took roughly ten to fifteen minutes for me. Out of all the steps, buffing my nails took the longest. The nail file was rough and firm, but not painful. It left my nails feeling a little sensitive, but I didn't have to throw in the towel.

Even though the glue was easy to open and didn't smell pungent, I still recommend doing your nails in a well-ventilated area. If you're not cautious, those chemicals will knock you out (good luck to people with chronic migraines).

Nail flexibility

The fit of these nails is "slender nail" friendly, and the cuticle is flexible. Buyers beware; they have sharp sides. They probably won't Edward Scissorhands your skin, but your clothing might be a different story. Stranger things have happened, but I didn't have that issue when I wore them out.

Design

I have never owned translucent press-on nails that look as realistic as this set. With these nails you could fool someone into thinking you have brand-new acrylics, courtesy of your favorite nail technician. The design of the shimmering hearts is adorable, but when I looked closer, I noticed that some of them are slightly crooked.

Durability

Salon-quality acrylic nails are thicker than Metallic Heart nails. Although thin, the nail structure is sturdy. They didn't feel as though they would snap in half at any moment. Don't be fooled, though; if you're not careful, these nails will fall off. During my girls' night, we only had dinner and drinks, but I lost two nails. An hour into the night, as I was taking off my coat, my right pointer nail flew off, and an hour later, as I was getting tissues from my purse, the left thumb nail came off.
