5 New Makeup Products at Ulta Beauty Worth Testing

This post is not sponsored, nor is my opinion bought or paid for, so don’t get it twisted.

1

Eyelectric Extreme Lengthening Mascara

Price: $25

Half Magic products always seem to enchant me. With their creative packaging and high performance, I haven’t tried a product that felt half-baked yet.

This mascara comes in five colors: Indigorgeous (indigo), New Bombshell (brown), Teal Widdit (teal), Urchin (black), and Violet Act (violet).

The formula seems to prioritize pigment without compromising length. However, it appears to be dryer than my go-to product, the Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara, which has more wax and acids. I’m curious how the formula would stand up against my headstrong eyelashes.

2

Halo Glow Highlight Beauty Wand

Price: $9

I’ve heard of this new product on the block. Mainly because its been labeled a dup for the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand (I’m sure she’s ecstatic).

Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of e.l.f highlighters, but I find the applicator intriguing. I’ve never used a makeup product with a cushion tip. I also liked the subtle glow the highlighter provides.

The wand comes in six colors: Champagne Campaign, Holographic Honey, IRL Angel, Liquid Gold, Pink Prism, Rose Quartz.

3

HY-GEN Primer Serum Bronze

Price: $48

I gave up primers after high school, but this hydrating serum makes me reconsider. Natasha Denona Makeup is new to me, but people have loved the brand’s makeup for years. I’m curious to see if this product lives up to the hype.

The model’s skin in the product picture looks juicy and radiant. The results made me stop and think, “I want what she’s having.”

4

Glow Tint Cushion

Price: $20

I’m aware this cushion has been out since 2023, but it’s new to the Ulta Beauty website, so I’m including it anyway. This face tint is marketed as a color corrector, formulated to even out the skin for a fresh appearance.

It received mixed reception from brown-skinned girls who either found it ashy or a nice addition to their routine. Paler complected people generally like this product, which leads me to believe it’s made for them. In retrospect, that’s no surprise. There’s not a single demo photo of a tan or brown-skinned person using it.

I’d like to know how this cushion compares with the TIRTIR and Milk Cosmetics cushion foundations, which offer a wide shade range.

5

So Cherry Happy Blushlighter

Price: $5.99

We’ve heard of blonzing, but have we heard of blushlighting? Both terms sound vaguely inappropriate, but this is the slang we’re saddled with in 2025.

This blush highlighter combination is a slippery slope, often adding unnecessary shine. However, makeup influencers talk about this thing like it's gold in a pan. Perhaps that's why the blushlighter is sold out on the Ulta Beauty website.

The product has a pretty color payoff and a glowy finish that might accentuate texture and acne.
