Character.ai’s New Feature: Character Charms

Character.ai launched a new feature called Character Charms.
Introduced on December 16, 2025, Character Charms is a beta feature that offers in-app currency. This currency, known as Charms, is currently redeemable for more turns on the Imagine feature.
The Imagine feature uses advanced AI to generate static images based on text descriptions for optimal storytelling. Premium users have access to the "Imagine Animated Chats" feature, enabling them to create animated videos.
These images and videos can be shared on the Character.ai feed or on social media.
The company’s announcement indicates that Charms will be redeemable for skipping ads, bypassing slow-mode, and more. However, these rewards are inactive as of December 16th, but they will be activated soon.
The additional features that will be unlockable with Charms were not detailed in the official statement from the interactive chat platform.
New quests will be dropped every week to give users more chances to earn Charms.
Each user can claim 20 free Charms.
There are Starter Quests and Weekly Quests.
Starter Quests: Daily log in, enable notifications, imagine a Chat Image, create a new Persona, add an intro video to one of your characters, and Post to the feed.
Weekly Quests: Create a new Persona, Imagine 3 Chat Images, and Post to the Feed 3 times.
